In 08-09, the DSU launched a speaker series to bring world-class speakers to the Dawson Community.  The DSU has brought such notable speakers as legendary Montréal Canadians broadcaster Dick Irvin, Brad Warner, the award-winning author of Hardcore-Zen, and Peter Robinson, CEO of Mountain Equipment Co-Op.

In April, 2010, the DSU invited The Yes Men, the international renowened pranksters to speak to the nature of their work and the principles of climate justice.

The objective of the DSU Speaker Series is to inspire students with the words of individuals whom have had a profound effect on Montréal and the world around us.
